The Denver Nuggets are a professional basketball team based in Denver, Colorado. Founded as the Denver Larks, this team was established in 1967. Before their first season actually started, the team changed their name to the Denver Rockets. The franchise finally settled on the name "Denver Nuggets" in 1974.
